R. Chip Denief, Evangelist
Bro. Chip is originally from the Black Hills of *South Dakota. In 1985 he boarded a plane at Rapid City* Regional Airport and landed several hours later in Lexington, Kentucky. Chip met his wife, *Rita* while attending Kentucky Christian College (now Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky) and they will celebrate 20 years of marriage in June of 2007. Chip and Rita have one son, Evan, who is 17 and an avid guitarist & singer.
Chip recognized his calling as a minister of the Gospel while in high school and was able to gain valued preaching experience through the graciousness of his minister, Mike Dennis, who often allowed him to preach, lead in youth groups and teach devotionals. Bro. Chip has held ministries in Kentucky since 1985, ministering in Milford (Milford Christian Church) as youth minister, Johnsville (Fairview Christian Church) as the senior minister, and Sherman (Sherman Church of Christ) as associate minister/minister of outreach.
Chip has been the Evangelist for the Stringtown Christian Church since May, 2004 and enjoys preaching, teaching, assisting the Elders in pastoral care and many other areas of ministry with the Stringtown community. Lunch time at the Crooked Creek General Store, and catching up with friends from the Cordova community are among his favorite "spare time" activities. Chip loves to preach, enjoys playing guitar with his band The Cross-eyed Fish and leading worship at any opportunity. An active member of the Grant County Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Church Liaison for the Grant County Relay For Life Committee, Chip stays very active in the community. He always enjoys getting together with the Iron Men of Stringtown and says that he feels blessed to see the growth of our men and is thrilled to see his dream of the Iron Men experiencing so much success.

Jason Gabbert, Youth Minister
Jason has been the Youth Minister for the Stringtown Christian Church since April, 2006 and comes to us with many talents and great experience in various areas of ministry & service. He and his wife Tiffany have 4 children and really enjoy working with the youth of Stringtown.
Jason and his wife are both "Native Grant Countians", and both were raised in the Sherman Church of Christ, a sister congregation in Dry Ridge. Both Jason & Tiffany assisted with music with the praise team at Sherman, and their talents have been a great blessing for the Stringtown congregation.
