What is a "New Testament" Church?
The Stringtown Christian Church is committed to the teaching of Jesus Christ. We are an un-denominational Church, meaning that we don't have any denominational ties, convention or earthly headquarters to dictate to us what we are to believe or practice. Our faith & practices are from the New Testament Bible, which is why we are referred to as a "New Testament" Church.
What do I need to do in order to place my membership with Stringtown?
We are excited about new members, our membership requirements are simple:
1. Members are to be faithful, immersed believers in Christ.
2. Public confession of faith in Christ during one of our worship services.

Anyone wishing further information about membership is encouraged to contact our minister, or the Church via e-mail by clicking here.

Do you offer counseling at Stringtown?
Counseling offered by our minister is not a clinical type of counseling. Biblical and Spiritual guidance is offered regularly on a personal basis by our minister. Our minister also provides pre-marital counseling and other, limited types of personal counseling. If clinical counseling is required we would be glad to offer suggestions to competent Christian counselors.
Should I participate in Communion ?
Communion (or the Lord's Supper) is an important focus of our weekly gathering on Sunday. Often, guests will ask if they are "allowed" to participate in the service. We do not restrict participation in the Lord's Supper to members alone. Anyone who is a faithful Christian is encouraged to follow the Apostle Paul's teaching about communion:

But a man must examine himself,
and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself
if he does not judge the body rightly.
I Corinthians 11:28-29, NASB

I've had a relative die and need someone to preside over the funeral. Is someone at Stringtown able to help?
Families are affected by death on a regular basis. Our minister has assisted families through difficult times like this in planning, performing the funeral service and in grief counseling to the family. Please contact the Church if you have such needs.
I'd like to attend a service/activity at the Stringtown Church; what's the easiest route?
For your convenience, we offer complete driving directions to our building. Should you have any questions, you may always call for directions. (859) 824-7288
